JADE SHARP
Bachelor of High Performance Sport (In Progress), Level 2 AWF Coach | Strength and Conditioning Level 1 | Gymnastics Int Coach and presenter for QLD in coach education week over a number of years.
As a former youth athlete who competed for Australia in gymnastics, I bring a deep understanding of high-performance sport. With 27 years of coaching experience, including gymnastics and Olympic weightlifting, working with beginners to elite athletes. I’ve had the privilege of coaching athletes to international levels in both sports. I coach because I want to teach people that they can do more than they every thought they could.
My coaching philosophy is built on patience, solid foundations, and athlete-led coaching. I strive to guide athletes while encouraging their input, fostering independence, confidence, and a lifelong love of movement.
PAUL WALTERS
Hi I'm Coach Paul.
I am an accredited Level 2 weightlifting and power sports coach here at Bribie Island Weightliting Club. I am also an accredited level 1 Running Coach.
I am a Masters Athlete who loves competing in many sports, but my passion is for Olympic Weightlifting and Powerlifting.
My journey into sports and from that strength training started back in the 1990's when I was selected to play Rugby Union professionally for the ACT Brumbies, and from that a career that took me through many journeys within the fitness industry.
I have always had the philosophy that your training should have you striving for progress - not perfection, which is something I pass onto our athletes. Keep pushing yourself, you will be amazed at what you can achieve.
LEVI DAVIDSON
I’ve always been passionate about strength training, and after winning a national championship, I realised how much I love pushing my limits and seeing the results. Getting my weightlifting coaches qualification was a huge step for me, but it’s not just about lifting heavy weights. I love coaching others, especially youth, and watching them grow stronger—both physically and mentally.
I want to inspire the next generation of athletes, helping them reach their full potential and teach them the importance of hard work, discipline, and resilience. Strength and conditioning is more than a career to me; it’s my way of giving back to the sport and community that shaped who I am. Fortunately, it is very easy to learn because I am surrounded by some of the best coaches out there that I can learn from.
Mahalia Davidson
I’ve been passionate about strength training for a number of years, and competing at Nationals for QLD last year, where I came 2nd, was such an exciting milestone. I’m excited to see how much stronger I can get in the next few years and even later in life. My dream is to become a sports dietician and work with athletes, helping them fuel their bodies for peak performance. Coaching others, especially young girls, is something I absolutely love. I want to inspire them to be strong, both physically and mentally, and show them that being a strong girl is something to be proud of. Strength training has given me so much confidence, and I’m excited to help others find that too.
